E-paper family dashboard: screen capture
The "today" page, redrawn from the real layout with invented names and readings, composited into a photo of the panel.

notes

A 7.5-inch e-paper panel driven by an ESP32-C3, fed by Home Assistant through ESPHome. Four pages (today, temperatures, a message, appointments) and no frames: hierarchy comes from alignment and white space, which is all a one-bit display allows. Doors and windows are reported by exception: the page says "all closed" instead of listing six closed things.

A glance should be enough to trust what it says. A missing value shows as a dash, never as an error code, and the time of the last update is always visible: a frozen screen that looks fine is worse than a blank one.

Refresh is every four minutes and pauses at night. When dense pages came out washed out, the cause turned out to be the power supply, not the code: the panel draws a burst of current to drive large black areas.
